Mix very well a small portion of the body filler and hardener until you have a one color mix. TIP: Let dry the parts under the sunlight, the heat accelerates the drying process. After the part is solid to the touch, trim the excess of fiber glass mat using the dremel tool. Resin the outside of the part very well and letting it dry 24 hours. This is really important on the big parts, like the chest, back, legs, helmet etc, because 1 layer stills flexible and weak. After applying the first layer let dry about 15 mins, and continue with the second layer. Repeat this until you have all the part cover it. Start applying one strip of Fiberglass Mat, and resin over it in the inner side of the part. Once the catalyst is added, you will only have 15 minutes to work with it aprox. As long as you work with this you will know how many drops you'll need). Mix a small portion of the resin (I used 1/4 of a cup) with the catalyst (10 to 20 drops, depending on the weather, if it's hot, with 10 drops it's ok.

I have some shoulders complete, but not sure if they are too big for my body or not. Trying to glue the pieces as shown in the pep file leaves nearly no room for my body inside the center. I am 5'8" and yes the current work is in the original size supposedly meant for a 6'0" person. Using the torso file, I have the pieces cut and glued, but I am not understanding how I am supposed to curve the side pieces to sit on my frame. Now however as I move down the body, the everything else is giving me fits. But I am having serious issues getting things to work for me.Īfter a fourth attempt at the helmet, using a 15% increase in size, I have one that fits. After trying my hand using the JF Foam files to build the Helmet of Nabu and Captain America's helmet, I got adventurous.
